Analysis of Bisphenol A in Water Using Acquity UPLC Technology
12 Jul 2010: Bisphenol A (BPA) is used in industrial activities and its occurrence in the environment has been linked to human health concerns. This application note presents Waters ACQUITY UPLC Bisphenol A Kits for BPA detection. Estimated method limits of detection (LODs) were calculated and shown to be sufficient for monitoring real surface waters samples.

Analysis of Triazine Herbicides in Water Using LC-MS/MS and TraceFinder Software
12 Jul 2010: In this application note, TraceFinder software was used in conjunction with an online preconcentration system, EQuan™, for the robust and reproducible analysis of large volumes of drinking water. Triazines were quantitated at the sub-ppt level, and several commercial bottled drinking water samples and one sugar-free soda sample were analyzed for the presence of triazines.

Rapid Screening Method for PAH Samples
07 Jul 2010: Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) are a class of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) that are carcinogenic and mutagenic in humans. This application note represents the fastest screening method available for Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) using a conventional GC system. The narrow bore GC columns do not require any special hardware or modification to the GC system.

New Columns from Dionex Address Regulatory Requirements for Biopharmaceutical Characterization
01 Jul 2010: The new MAbPac™ SCX-10 column from Dionex Corporation is specifically designed for high-resolution, high-efficiency analysis of monoclonal antibodies and associated variants. This new column’s unique nonporous pellicular resin provides unmatched high resolving power, permitting the separation of monoclonal antibody variants that differ by as little as one charged residue.
Dionex Corporation
New Standalone Ultrahigh-Pressure Pump for LC Applications
29 Jun 2010: The new UltiMate® 3000 NCP-3200RS nano/capillary LC pump module from Dionex Corporation is an extension of its family of industry-leading Rapid Separation LC (RSLC) systems. This standalone ultrahigh-pressure pump features an extensive flow-pressure footprint, delivering continuous, direct flow rates from 20 nL/min to 50 μL/min at backpressures of up to 800 bar (11,600 psi) for nano, capillary, and micro LC analyses.
Dionex Corporation
New Cost Effective Sterilization Technology for HPLC Systems
28 Jun 2010: The new unique UVC sterilization E.L.S.A from Cambridge Light Technology can be used for any HPLC system and light scattering technology. The E.L.S.A r/k1000 is designed to produce a continual sterilization of buffer solutions by use of UVC waves without the requirement for the addition of toxic materials (e.g. Sodium- Azide) to the buffer solution.
