Pittcon to Participate in International Year of Chemistry (IYC)
22 Jun 2010: Extra activities to celebrate the International Year of Chemistry (IYC) at Pittcon 2011 have been announced. The extra programs include Science Week, which will serve the city of Atlanta and surrounding separations, and on a more global level, and the Technical Program, which will include sessions on how chemical research is critical for solving global problems involving food, water, health, energy and transportation.

Purifying and Concentrating Imiquimod and Metabolites from Large Volumes of Urine
05 Apr 2010: This application note demonstrates the use of large diameter (47 mm) Empore Extraction Disks to purify and concentrate a novel immunomodulator drug, Imiquimod (AldaraTM), and its metabolites from urine. The eluates were analyzed by different chromatographic techniques (HPLC and TLC) to determine the nature and number of metabolites present.
